AMBEServer for AMBE3003

Chris Andrist

Has anybody attempted to adapt the AMBEServer to work with the AMBE3003?

It would be nice to have an AMBEServer with 3 channels.

Regards,

Chris Andrist, KC7WSU

Not that I am aware of -- however, a USB-3003 from DVSI is $600, 3 ThumbDVs are about $341 (with discount code TRANSCODE through the end of the year, for 2 or more units, if purchased at the same time).

NW Digital Radio is probably going to do a kick starter for a 6 stream device at a price below the DVSI USB-3003, as there is interest from the XLX reflector community.

Ambeserver is open source, so could be adapted.  However, the ambed server from the xlx group handles multiple streams (though software would need to be able to talk to it).  https://github.com/LX3JL/xlxd

Hi Chris,

No. Then you have to specify 3 UDP ports. Why do you need 3 channels?

I would like to purchase an AMBE3003 and host the AMBEServer.

2 channels for D-Star transcoding and 1 channel for an analog <-> DMR Gateway.

Regards,

Chris
