UDRC with Allstar
Tom Hayward <esarfl@...>
Has anyone used the UDRC with Allstar / app_rpt? I'm guessing it would
work with chan_alsaradio, but I don't know how you would control PTT. Is there any way to do this short of writing a patch for chan_alsaradio that adds RPi GPIO support? Tom KD7LXL

Re: Sound Card Settings RX inactive
Dieter, This typically means you have another program running that has the UDRC mapped under ALSA. Make sure dstarrepeater/dstarrepaterd are stopped before running dstarrepeaterconfig. Also there is a sub-group specifically for the udrc which you may want to use in the future.

Does anyone have a copy of WinDV? The DutchStar site has been down and I would love a copy to use with my DVAP.

VOIP to IRLP?
"N7QNM" <n7qnm-lists@...>
Has anyone tried using the UDR Digital controller to pass VOIP data to an IRLP node? I’ve got a PiIRLP that I’d really like to interconnect to my DX-1 and am wondering if I could connect the “radio” ports from a controller to the PiIRLP, and then route the packets to/from a controller connected to the DX-1?

Certainly a hotspot for D-STAR is possible -- https://nw-digital-radio.groups.io/g/udrc/wiki/UDRC%E2%84%A2-For-Simplex-Hotspots-and-Converted-Analog-Repeaters

The UDRC and ThumbDV/PiDV could certainly be a part of such an application.

I would guess it is just down -- I think Fred monitors https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/gmsk_dv_node/info BTW, this forum will be going away -- NW Digital Radio is in the process of setting up various community groups at Groups.io Please create a personal account at Groups.io Join the main NW Digital group by sending an email from your registered email account to main+subscribe@nw-digital-radio.groups.io and then send an email to udrc+subscribe@...ps.io Please use the group for questions and to share your experiences, so that all UDRC™ users can benefit from the replies.

Re: No UDRC listed after aplay -l
It is not normal for the udrc to not be listed when you do an 'aplay -l' -- I am assuming you have completely removed power and reapplied it at some point. If, by chance, you have another Pi 2 or 3 give it a go on it. (Just move the microSD card and udrc). If it still doesn't display, contact support@... for next steps.
