You might consider navigating to

c:\users\(you)\AppData\local\ and find BlueDV directory and erase it.

There is another directory under documents named BlueDV.

And check the ProgramFile(x86) to make sure the BlueDV directory has been removed after you have used the program add/removal utility in windows 10.

I had the same issue with DutchStar a while back but I don't remember where any "hidden" files are for that program.

I use a Thumb DV with Blue DV on Win 10. I Haven't been able to change settings for months. Every time I try I get an "Unhandled Error" message. I've tried re-installing. No luck. Uninstalling does not remove all traces of the program. The new fresh install contains settings from the previous installation. Same with Win DV/ Dutch star program, it keeps old settings when re-installed & has become extremely slow to respond with it's gateway window. Anyone experience similar issues? Could there be conflicts between the two programs? Is there a method for doing an uninstall which completely removes every trace of the program? Thanks!

For WinDV, I found that deleting entries in the Windows Registry was sometimes necessary to clean up local settings.
You might pop a note to info@... (he does participate in the ambe subgroup here, but I don't know if he monitors main).

Thanks for the responses!  I did get a very quick response from David PA7LIM which was to "Please select an YSF reflector in the setup." It worked perfectly. I can now again change settings. Cheers!

Steve and Kevin, I have downloaded your files and will print this weekend. I do not have my DRAWS board yet, but it should arriving soon. I THINK I have the correct display, so I should be able to test the fit of the Pi and the display.

Do you plan on sharing the cad files themselves so that testers can add improvements more easily and share?

Looking to get into the next DRAWS cycle in April myself, my intention is to use portable and mobile and this case option would be 'the bees knees"

The SD Card goes in the Raspberry Pi -- the software runs on the Pi to drive the DRAWS™ HAT.

I have a pi that i already have an sd card with the os loaded.  Would i be able to either put another partition to the current card, write a new card or how will it work?

Installing draws image

Douglas KI7LIK

I am stuck.  I have gotten to the point of installing it via command line, but it just keeps saying that the card is a directory.

Here is the command:
dd bs=4M if=draws_beta9.img of=/media/pi/8B6D-99CF

Error:
dd: failed to open '/media/pi/8B6D-99CF': Is a directory

This is after i have downloaded the file and unzipped it.

Thanks,

Douglas

Re: Installing draws image

Dave Slotter, W3DJS

That error message dd is giving you is correct. You can't write an image file to a directory. You need to write an image file to the device representing the flash card.

You want of=/dev/X where "X" is the  name of the device. It could be sdd or mmcblk0. You'll have to ls your /dev directory to know for sure.

Hope this helps.
