Would something like this have sufficient level of detail for a 3D model? This is a screenshot of a Pi3B: Thanks, Dale KE8GTV

Re: 3D drawings?
I use the Free Hobbyist licence of Fusion 360 I too would welcome the models- I think any of the formats listed would work. Thank you very much for your efforts. 73, Nick K2RI

Dave, What format would want the 3D models in? I use SolidWorks and could output it as IGES, STEP, or native SWX. Of course, I would need permission of Northwest Digital to create the models. It wouldn't take me that long to backward engineer my HAT. Thanks, Dale KE8GTV

3D drawings?
Dave C
I'm considering using the DRAWS HAT in a device I'm designing. I want to include it in my 3D design, but I can't find dimensions. Do 3D drawings exist?

Mike,
you can disregard my last post. I reread your post and realize it was a quote from another post elsewhere. The “Frankenstein” wasn’t yours for me to ask about. Unless someone else knows what that config was for the Quantar and other radio, sorry for the confusion. Roger VE7WWD

Mike,
what all was involved (hardware and configuration) in the “Frankenstein” setup using the Quantar for the Tx and the other radio for the Rx. I have 2 VHF Quantars and would love to be able to use one on DMR.

Hi Andrew, Apparently, the word DRAWS is an acronym for Digital Radio Amateur WorkStation. I know you and I would expect the first sentence after "What Is DRAWS?" to contain that information but it does not -- go figure. The picture caption has this information in a light grayish color. 73, Dave WB7DFV

Re: Pi ft817 help please
Hi Andrew,
Please take a look at: http://nwdigitalradio.com/draws/ Good explanation and starting point. The DRAWS + RPi combo works well with my FT-817.

Re: Pi ft817 help please
You want two leads. The mini-DIN 6 cable that comes with the DRAWS™ HAT (or any similar cable) and a CT-62 equivalent cable for CAT control. (many offered on eBay and Amazon). Go into the UDRC and DRAWS ™ subgroup to this forum for help and advice.
