We would not hide sales availability! :) [Looking to be soon!] Watch http://nwdigitalradio.com There will be D-STAR support. (Hotspot in base radio, user radio with DV3000)

Please post the output of AMBEtest2.py Did you download and build dv3000d? Is dv3000d running? What program are you using? DummyRepeater, AMBEtools, ... and are you running them on the Pi or remotely? http://nwdigitalradio.com/preparing-the-raspberry-pi-for-dv3000-applications Pull down the ALSA version of DummyRepeater if running on Pi.

I intalled everything as manual said on my img from http://www.westerndstar.co.uk/html/downloads.html Reason is that i already have it configured with my 3g dongle and (sakis3g) and so on .. :-) I get response from dv3000 :python AMBEtest2.py seems alright but it say wrote 17 bytes ,, not 5 bytes as in the example . So question is: what am i doing wrong ? Anyone have a prebuilt img ? Kindly SA7ADV /Kristian ( if you have a lot of time you may have acesss to my rasp remote , for help me )

ALSA Verison of Dummyrepeater.
"John Wiseman" <john.wiseman@...>
I've made a few improvements to my ALSA version of G4KLX’s Dummyrepeater for the Raspberry PI. It seems to have eliminated the occasional audio overruns.
See message #8269 in the ircDDBGateway group for the original post giving my reasons for going to ALSA
If you already have dummyrepeater running on your pi, you can just replace the dummyrepeater binary with this:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/31910649/pidummyrepeater
If you need to build from source, you can use this source tree instead of DummyRepeater-20140519.zip
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/31910649/DummyRepeaterBPQJul22.zip
Diffs between the original any my source can be found here

I have been hacking the source to DSD to use the dv3000 rather than the software lib used (whose name shall not be mentioned). I have DStar and DMR working with the board, but I have not looked into P25 changes that would be needed. If I can find some local signals, I may go ahead and do the work.

Re: DV3000 going International
"John D. Hays" <john@...>
The AMBE 3000 chip in the DV3000 is capable of encoding and decoding P25 Phase 2 Half Rate. However, the AMBE stream would need to be extracted from the datastream of the P25 Phase 2 and sent to the DV3000. A discriminator tap would permit a demodulator for P25 to be attached to extract the datastream, then software would need to extract the AMBE stream for decoding.

Re: Photo of portable DummyRepeater
"John D. Hays" <john@...>
DummyRepeater is the name of one of the repeater programs in G4KLX's suite for D-STAR. To the ircDDBGateway it looks like a physical repeater, ala dstarrepeater (for Homebrew Repeaters), but instead of being a radio, the 'repeater' is a microphone and speaker with a piece of software emulating a D-STAR repeater. So in that sense it is a 'dummy' -- but it's quite powerful. You might want to visit the blog and see VK5ZEA's adaptation. http://nwdigitalradio.com/dv3000-analog-to-d-star-bridge

Because it's simple or ??
Usually the "dummy" qualifier for a device means it's non- functioning e.g. a dummy security camera. I don't think so -- the program is called DummyRepeater.John D.
