I saw that it was on the agenda for the recent conference in King County, and I was hoping that there would be some sort of announcement as to what it is and what it does.  I couldn’t afford to travel to the conference to find out more about it and there is nothing about it on the web.

Re: re dvthumb dongle

There is no firmware.

Go to the file section of the AMBE subgroup in this group. There is a test program for ThumbDV. If it passes that, then it is likely a configuration issue or a weak USB port.

Re: KC3ESS B Dstar repeater

Ted,

I would check out our web site (www.openquad.net) on the TAB "What's new" and read up on the information concerning the Transcoding Server.   For demos and direct understanding, you are more than welcome to check in and chat with us on X-Reflector  "XRF757 C" about how or what type of configuration you might be able to work out with an experiment with implementing DMR <==> D-Star.

For over 2 years I have had my Dstar repeater running at my remote site with no internet using a gateway and link radio at my home. I am using a clever device from Advanced Repeater Systems at the site called a Dstar repeater control board that enables transmit when it hears a 4800 baud digital signal (Dstar) at the remote site.

I would like to include DMR on the repeater using an MMDVM type board giving me both modes however the ARS board by design only passes Dstar.

I figure some clever Repeater Builder type has figured out how to do this so more than one digital mode can pass through the repeater.

I realize I could just put the MSF5000 in carrier squelch but then any garbage could pass.

Thoughts are most welcome.

So i’ve just downloaded buster from the app store, I am also running High Sierra.  The app seems to work with  voiceover in that I was able to add a reflector and it told me that I was linked to a reflector  whenI added ref 001-c, and ref-009c, and pressed one of the buttons that voiceover showed me on the screen.  If I were to purchase the Thumb Dv Ambecoder, could it be fitted in to a USB-c interface so that I could just plug it in to the USB port on my 15” MacBook pro?  This would make it almost possible for me to get back in to d-star… :)
Thanks,
Justin

Does Buster 1.2 work properly on High Sierra?

It has been a couple of months since I used Buster on my wife's MacBook,
and now I can receive but apparently not transmit audio. The only thing
I _know_ has changed is the operating system version.
