Jay,
Depending on what you want to do, we have a analog to DMR Gateway. It was built to allow analog users on the AllStar network to access the DMR networks. It can be used with a microphone and speaker to access the DMR networks. The repository is at <https://github.com/N4IRS/DMRGateway>

I too am interested in DMR using ThumbDV.  I have a couple of these dongles on Windows and Pi, and I am wondering why there is not more activity in the DMR area. There are no D-Star activity in my area but a ton of DMR interest.  Currently I use a DVMega for DMR in the shack.  I looked back at the posts and it seems DMR is doable.  

Is there active development anywhere?  Is anyone making headway or have code they can share?   Or point me in the right direction.

It also has a 5V 3 Amp buck regulrato which back-powers the Pi so it’s 12v compatible either externally or directly by the Yaesu DR1-X

Short answer, you don't. The UDRC uses the 15 pin accessory connector.

Longer answer. The code is open source and there is a path via the audio codec and GPIO pins to integrate additional functionality if someone wanted to take on the project.

Fortunately, Yaesu makes a cable -- the CT-164.

Those 10 pin DIN connectors care nonstandard and are unobtainable. We spent a lot of time and energy trying to source them.

Yaesu does make an adapter between 10 and 6 pin connectors.

Yes.  I'm not sure what photo you are referring to, I'd like to remove the confusion.  Here are the UDRC posts http://nwdigitalradio.com/category/udrc/

DR-1X + UDRC + Raspberry Pi adds D-STAR to the repeater.  Add an Internet connection and have access to D-STAR linking and routing.

The UDRC and UDRX share the same Audio CODEC, Power Supply and SW Infrastructure but they are two very different products. The UDRC has enabled a more parallel effort between HW and SW, but we still don't have a definitive date for the UDRX.
