Dose any one have a lead on a 56k or faster soundmodem. I'm fussing with a the Linux soundmodem, not for the first time but to test attaching a 9600bps ax.25 ax0 port to olsrd.

Any code out there?  That i can test. I'm using conventional radios, but I do have a hackrf for and the club has a usrp.

I would still like to know if some one could come over UCB and give a talk to the eecs dsp class. Mabey even leave some code to help validate a 100kbs+ data link.

Kickstarters are a great way to fund engineering, but given our present financial position we shouldn’t have any problem funding the initial build through a pre-order with deposit when the time comes.

Ok Folks, let me step in here.

The UDR is still under development and NW Digital Radio has been funded by accessory sales and has added resources in order to continue forward with it and other products.

The reality is, when we start shipping there will be people who have never heard of the UDR that will be excited to buy it, and there will others who are tired of waiting and won't.

It sure seems that way.

Two years of the web page being updated each quarter to show next quarter delivery is pretty sad and, frankly, insulting.

Re: dmr and dstar access

Matthew Pitts <daywalker_blade_2004@...>

Hello Barry,

I should have been a little more clear on what I meant; there are two distinct DMR networks, DMR-MARC (Motorola MotoTRBO) and DMRPlus (Hytera and DV4mini hotspots) which don't normally possess any interoperability, although that seems to be changing now. As of earlier this week, NorCAL DMR has established a nationwide talkgroup for DMR-MARC that permits access to a DMRPlus Reflector, which is where I will be focusing my efforts on the DMR side of things; I also plan to do the same for System Fusion, including a DMR to Fusion bridge.

Barry,

Not as yet; DMR is possible, but we need to realize that there are two networks that don't normally communicate with each other for that mode, as opposed to the two interlinked networks for D-STAR. I have been working on a software solution, but have not yet got it working for this.

Is there currently both dmr and dstar access available on the DVthumb?  If so, ,what software application is used?

I am interest in both dmr and dstar.

Thanks.

Re: dmr and dstar access

David Warden <dwarden3@...>

I would love to have access to DMR through ThumbDV also but so far no luck for me. Works great on dStar though with WinDV.

There is a DMR repeater there in Reno. You could pick up a Tytera MD-380 radio for a reasonable price and jump on that repeater.

UDRC Availability

"John D. Hays" <john@...>

The UDRC is still under development.

Chris has said that there may be a change in the I/O setup (Huntsville) on the interface connector so the board is being re-designed to have a more flexible pinout management.

The GMSK modem is going to be provided by an on card codec and we are still working through the bringup (prototyping was done with an external modem).

Also, there are some issues with hand-off back to analog when running AUTO on the Yaesu controller, so we may also implement a full analog controller on the card as well.

Software for the D-STAR and Analog controllers already exists.

For those who are mainly interested in D-STAR or D-STAR/Analog -- I will be providing a blog post soon at http://k7ve.org -- it's really quite easy.

Subscribe to UniversalDigitalRadio Yahoo! group for general updates.
