Well did all the above and didnt get the results you showed from aplay -l. I got this instead: pi@WB7SWW:~ $ aplay -l **** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices **** card 0: ALSA [bcm2835 ALSA], device 0: bcm2835 ALSA [bcm2835 ALSA] Subdevices: 7/7 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 Subdevice #1: subdevice #1 Subdevice #2: subdevice #2 Subdevice #3: subdevice #3 Subdevice #4: subdevice #4 Subdevice #5: subdevice #5 Subdevice #6: subdevice #6 card 0: ALSA [bcm2835 ALSA], device 1: bcm2835 ALSA [bcm2835 IEC958/HDMI] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 1: CODEC [USB Audio CODEC], device 0: USB Audio [USB Audio] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 pi@WB7SWW:~ $

The draws driver is not loading. This can be caused by a couple of

things. If you have done an 'apt-get update; apt-get upgrade' the AudioSense-Pi driver displaces the Draws driver. The position of the on-board audio enable statement in /boot/config.txt can cause the Draws driver to not load. The AudioSense-Pi driver problem has been fixed by Anna in the Linux kernel. Changes to the main line Linux kernel take a while to trickle down to the kernel used by Raspbian so the symptoms of this problem will probably exist for a number of months. You can fix both problems by doing the following from a console. # Get the latest versions of my scripts cd cd n7nix git pull cd bin ./chk_bootcfg.sh ./ch_conflict.sh reboot After a reboot, run this from a console: aplay -l You should now see the udrc being enumerated. ie. you should see this: card 1: udrc [udrc], device 0: Universal Digital Radio Controller tlv320aic32x4-hifi-0 [] Subdevices: 0/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 Both of these problems are handled better in the BETA13 image that I will release today. /Basil Allen <wb7sww@gmail.com> writes:

Since Ive had the DRAWS HAT I havent done much with the GPS part due to other things going on. But, in the last few days Ive worked on getting
it going. However; even after supplying the board with the 12v DC (yes it powers up the pi YAY) Ive been readying the forums and trying all types of fixes with no results. What Im finding is when I run systemctl status gpsd I get errors saying the ttrySC0 and pps0 and not found. I have attached the printout from systemctl status gpsd:
