I have a ThumbDV and just installed it this week. Due to rather skimpy documentation, it took a little while to get it working right, especially with XRF reflectors. It is doing fine right now.
The only quirk I notice is this:
When my PC goes to sleep, the communication between it and the ThumbDV gets 'broken' as well. That is, when I "awaken" it, WinDV can't communicate with it on its COM4 port. There are two ways I've found to bring it back:
(1) pull out and reseat the ThumbDV, or
(2) restart Windows.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a better way of 'awakening' it?
