Is it possible to just use the DV3000 to vocode auduio and pass it via TCP or UDP over a network? or would it need FEC and sync bits and such.

I have a pi here, I'm very happy with it, I can run all my open source code on it without problems, I don't understand why you hate it so. in my view, a pi as the core would increase it's attractivene

ThumbDV on WinBook
It sure makes it easier to read the WinBook display when the Custom Display option is changed to 151%. That fills the display quite nicely! The WinDV 1.5.8 version 2 works well!
