Hi David, groups,

You may want to test the attached patch for direwolf adding choice of channel to send calibration tones.

Hi,

I improved the PATCH for transmit calibration tones -x option.
New version takes care of channels number.
It has been tested with UDRC II and DRAWS hat modem cards on Raspberry
Pi 2 and 3B+
I hope you will approve it.

Hi,

I just sent [PATCH] Adding channel choice to sending transmit
calibration tones -x option
This patch was sent to "issues" on Github and I attach it here also.
Appart from the fact that you wrote that it should be written, I found
that it was needed with UDRC-II hat for Raspberry Pi.
The reason is that by calibration tone was sent to channel 1 which is
handled by an HD15 plug and not possible on channel 0 handled by din6
plug on the hat modem board.
When using a standard din6 cable between the Raspberry and a transceiver
it was not possible to send calibration tones unless recompiling
direwolf source.
With the patch -x n gives the choice for the channel and it is not
necessary to have an HD15 termination cable.
New DRAWS hat for Raspberry Pi has two identical din6 connectors. A very
good choice. Then with the patch one can send calibration signal on left
audio channel or right channel just by moving the Din6 cable from one
plug to the other. Or using two cables for two different TRX and send
calibration to left or right easily.
