I've used an IC-7300 with DRAWS and it works great.  Using the Icom's sound card for the digital modes keeps the DRAWS two mini-din6 connectors free to use for packet and APRS applications.  So far I've used fldigi with PSK-31, RTTY, and several other digital modes; WSJT-X with FT8 and WSPR, JS8Call, and Dovecot / Postfix / Paclink-Unix / Claws Mail to do email via the Winlink system using a Pactor SCS PTCIIusb modem connected to the IC-7300 auxillary port.  You'll have fun!  :)
