For those who inquired, the bottom of the Lego PI Case remains as it was manufactured.
The top was drilled out for the SMA connector for GPS. Where the pair of 6-Pin connectors contact the top of the case, the top case was cut wide enough for both connectors to protrude through the top case. (IMG_4319) The second photo shows the internal side of the top cutout. In the background of the photo is a unaltered top case.
