Your DNS resolution isn't working, you will need to sort that out in the OS, if you are using DHCP to get an IP address it should be setting your DNS resolver.

Open a terminal a try pinging some hosts by name, like ping google.com then ping github.com

If you open  https://github.com/nwdigitalradio/draws-manager.git in a browser, that is the URL it is trying to reach.

On the pi, in a browser it's http://localhost:8080
On another computer on the LAN, use the LAN IP (ifconfig to find it on the pi) of the pi,  e.g. ip address 192.168.0.40 would be http://192.168.0.40:8080
If your LAN computer has zeroconf/bonjour networking, if your computer is named draws, then you can use http://draws.local:8080

Is your RPi connected to the Internet?
You can upgrade all your files including draws-manager by:

cd
cd n7nix
git pull
cd bin
./prog_refresh.sh

I'm trying to figure out how to get direwolf to beacon APRS with position.
See beacmin.sh & btest.sh scripts in n7nix/debug

My suggestion would be to use a script that pulls lat & lon from gpsd
and sends a position using AX.25 beacon command. Both of the scripts
send a single beacon. If you want to beacon at some interval then add
this line to your crontab:

ie: every half hour
*/30 * * * * /bin/bash /home/pi/n7nix/debug/beacmin.sh

ie: every hour at minute 0
0 * * * * /bin/bash /home/pi/n7nix/debug/beacmin.sh

ie: every hour at minute 15
15 * * * * /bin/bash /home/pi/n7nix/debug/beacmin.sh

# Get latest versions
cd
cd n7nix
git pull

# run like this
cd
cd n7nix/debug

# This sends a position beacon

./beacmin.sh
Sent: /usr/local/sbin/beacon -c N7NIX-15 -d 'APUDR1 via WIDE1-1' -l -s udr0 !4829.06N/12254.11Wp05 08:32:58 PDT, Seq: 10

# This sends a message beacon

./btest.sh
*** Running as user: pi ***

# This sends a position beacon

./btest.sh -h

Usage: btest.sh [-P <port>][-s <num>][-p][-m][-v][-h]

I got the Draws Hat this afternoon. Loaded image, got Direwolf running.

I have an old Icom 28h I have gotten an old adapter using the KPC 3 DB 9 plug plus a speaker plug for audio.

Using a USB and Serial adapter is it possible for Direwolf push audio in and out from the Draws Hat?

I have pulled out the little white 12 v white plug I think from the Hat. I have a micro USB with an on off switch with a wall work.

I still need to get an adapter out there or make one for the TS 2000.

Is there enough steam for the pi to run aprs on vhf on IC 28h at the same time use the other 6 pin din to the ACC 2 plug to play fldigi, FSQ and JS8CALL on the TS 2000.

I need to figure out this Draws Manager as well

Bob,

Thanks for the explanation. Maybe a pointer or a visual added to the documentation will prevent the confusion of folks new to the setup.

I have had some “Ham” programs automagically install themselves in “Audio” (JS8Call and wsjt-x along with the Message Aggregator) or in “Internet” as I previously noted, or in a dedicated ham radio/communications menu category.

Since Compass/Stretch is udrc and DRAWS/radio oriented, putting Xastir, YACC, and the ax-25 “pacLink/Winlink-oid” handlers in “Internet” makes sense. But putting fldigi suite and wsjt-x into “Sound” seems a little less intuitive to me… basically all this stuff are sound card applications at heart.

Easy enough to sort this out myself by mucking around in the configuration and editing the .desktop files, but not all DRAWS users will be comfortable doing that until they have more experience with the OS.

Again, thanks for your comments about this!

This is controlled by the .desktop files included in the source distribution of fldigi and friends in the "data" directory and installed into /usr/local/share/applications. In these files the menu categories are given as "Network" and "HamRadio". "Network" is usually labeled as "Internet" in the menu, so that's where they go. There's usually no "HamRadio" category defined in the menu. In earlier times, when I installed from source I edited the .desktop files to remove "Network" and then edited the menu to create the "HamRadio" category into which they would then fall. If I didn't create the "HamRadio" category then they usually turned up in "Other", at least in Ubuntu or Linux Mint. Nowadays I don't bother and accept their location in "Internet".

I've posted over a xastir. I've also deleted and installed from git a fresh version of xastir with the same results. It's just weird that I had it working in beta 9 and now it won't work. I might just start fresh again with another sdcard.

I haven't had a chance to really dig in to how things are set up yet, but it sounds like the Direwolf service may not be running - so you may need to start it, or might even need to set up systemd.

Here's a pretty simple to digest overview that will hopefully head you in the right direction:
