Did you start AX.25?
cd
cd bin
sudo su
./ax25-start
As user pi or whatever your default user name is please post the console
output of:
ax25-status
and
ifconfig
/Basil

I received a text from one of our locals that my RMS stn hangs when he tries to connect to it.

I had in mind that DRAWS can just handle up to 12 volts. But in this case it makes a lot of hardware installation things a lot easier.
