I did use Johns web app and it came up with the same values as the draws manager. I have turned the gain up all the way and no clean tone.

I promise to do a clean install on Buster, no scripts, to documents what it is I did to get the sound card detected.
Just to confirm with everyone that is chiming in right now that hasn't got it

Hi Corky,
The current "buster" seems to work fine at my place with the N7NIX script.
I find clean installs work best, but Pi 4/Buster are still leading edge.

Noticed kernel 4.19 in his output. When I updated my Beta13 using the supplied scripts the kernel upgraded to a 4.19 version and then nothing worked. That may be a clue.

The main difference I see, and may be the culprit is the
sudo apt dist-upgrade
The dist-upgrade may be introducing the conflict, I just do an upgrade.

Hi John and Frank
If you do take this off line and you get it working, please could you post to the list what steps were taken. I am having the same issue with my PI4 as Frank.

Re: [udrc] URONODE LINFBB
Basil,
I have been under the weather for a bit, I see that the Draws Beta 13 is still the base image.
Our last exchange was that you were going to tidy up the URONODE install script and get to LINFBB

Frank,
I did the install on 3B+, so I needed unpack and setup a Pi 4 (4GB) to verify it ran there as well. I just moved over the SD Card to test.
Installation (using the 3B+)
git clone

Rob,
While the transmitter is keyed use alsamixer to change LO Driver Gain &
PCM until you hear a solid tone from your other radio.
Did you use John's web apps to calc the LO Driver Gain & PCM
