succeeded in updating from 0.7 to 0.8.
the w2ktelnet command completed without errors and sent my gmail account three emails successfully via the PI's Internet connection. Attempts to use the radio results in my transmission, and what I believe is the gateway's response (hearing it on the radio). Unfortunately now the PI isn't receiving the responses as it did with the .7 version. I've tested both serial ports and tried both the setalsa-default, and the setalsa-ft817 setup files. Not sure what changed on the receiving end of this. Kevin

I changed my password in WinLink a couple times and tested with WinLink on my Windows PC. I set the password with all lower case characters because of the nature of the reported issue. Tested actual invalid entry in WinLink to make sure my new password was actually updated throughout the network.
Tonight I'll boot up the PI and check on the version number, then attempt the git pull as you indicated. Thanks Kevin

There was a change make to paclink-unix source after Beta 13 was posted

that fixed a case bug in the Winlink password. The file that changed was wl2k.c. Verify that your password is correct including upper & lower case, look at line containing: wl2k-password= cat /usr/local/etc/wl2k.conf You can verify the version of paclink-unix you are running by: wl2ktelnet -v The fix for the password case is in version 0.8 To update to the latest version of paclink-unix do the following: cd /usr/local/src/paclink-unix git pull ./buildall.sh Test paclink-unix version number has changed to 0.8 by running wl2ktelnet -v then wl2ktelnet Send me the console output of the above command. /Basil n7nix Kevin K. - N7KJK <kkutzera@gmail.com> writes:

Pac-Link account password does not match
#paclink-unix
#pac-link
Kevin K. - N7KJK
Hello,
I'm running a fresh setup of Beta 13.. All the configuration scripts seem to have worked. I am using a dual band Yaesu FT-7800. I've successfully connected with wl2kax25 command to a gateway nearby. Handshake and challenge messages all work. I think I actually had one successful connection with a check for inbound email. Now all attempts end with the "secure login failed - account password does not match" message. I've made several attempts to change my winlink password update the config file, and even manually specify the parameter in the command line. No luck. I've tested the password with send and receive using WinLink on my Windows 10 PC (telnet Winlink) . Works just fine after updating the password in configuration. I am aware that we have to be careful with updates to Beta 13. I was wondering if there's a safe and/or advisable way to just update Pac-Link program. I know there were errors regarding the secure connection passwords is some version of Pac-Link. I'm relatively new to the PI operating system. Please be very clear and complete with any instructions. You won't insult my intelligence. :) Thanks Kevin N7KJK

That's a Raspbian/Raspberry Pi question. Whatever the max is for Raspbian/Raspberry Pi, will be the same for DRAWS™ / UDRC. The NOOBS image is not recommended.

Is there a maximum SD card size for the image? I'm thinking of using a 64GB card.
I know there is a 32GB limit for booting the Rasp. NOOBS image. Thanks

I've found that I need to run the `setalsa-ft817.sh` script that was

included in the ~/bin directory, after that, I opened the DRAWS Manager and changed the Input from Receiver Signal Source to "DISC (pin4)" to get my 817 to work as expected with the hat. YMMV

Matt,
Also make sure your width is set to 3000Hz I notice on your radio it says LAP on the screen, upper left Do you have an amp connected? Maybe try the radio without a tuner or amp connected. Tim / AG6RS

Thanks for the response Tim. I tried resetting my radio and also reflashed the DRAWS image. I've confirmed that I have the same menu settings as you, and that I'm using the left channel. I've included a screenshot of the DRAWS Manager settings and have attempted sending both prior to and after configuration. I've also confirmed that Direwolf is not running. My FT-891 PTT is still triggered but the power output never changes from zero while transmitting. I've also confirmed that I've not been heard on PSKReporter. I've tried both 6 pin cables, in case one was defective, and both 6 pin ports on the DRAWS hat. The only thing I've yet to try is to swap out the USB cable. Following that I'm all out of ideas. Cheers, Matt - N7ROO

Re: DRAWS FT817 no TX audio
What is the mode of your 817 while TX?
I think it should be "DIG", otherwise it might not use sound input from the data port on back. You can set this up from WSJT-X by choosing USB-D (can't remember exact description now) Choosing USB for mode could make the radio take sound input from mic and not from data port.

Ken, did you look at Draws manager? That has output adjustments . Also the power slider on the right of the wsjt-x screen can be adjusted. Rick. Ka4ohm

Did you try DRAWS ™ Manager? You may want to also do a factory reset on the radio.

DRAWS FT817 no TX audio
Ken Myers
Hi. Im have set up my DRAWS hat/FT817 according to "temporarily Offline" youtube video.
Install good WSJT-X good CAT good\ - PTT band change etc. RX good - waterfall/decode etc great. I set my WSJT-X audio to in/out toplughwCARD=udrc.DEV=0 Seems my only problem is audio from HAT to FT817 as while rig goes to TX, no audio drive. Radio is all OK as I use it for Win/FT8 SSB etc. I do not know where to look for audio output drive adjust on the Pi/HAT/WSJT-X steup I am new to all this and learning. Any help would be gratefully received. Ken VK4GC
