Julie,

Could you please run this command:

i2cdetect -y 1

Should have devices at addresses: 0x18, 0x48 & 0x50
Thanks,
/Basil

* Pin 2 on the gpio is reading 5.047 vdc

* Replaced the SDCard with a new 32 GB card with fresh Beta 13 build - twice - no change

Re: gpsd, amixer, sensor, and other issues

Thanks for the console output.
The driver is loading fine. The software appears to be working but gps,
sensor & audio device are not.

How are you powering the RPi/Draws board?
I am assuming you are using the RPi 5V USB connector.
Could you measure the voltage on the 5V supply.

Also could you cut & paste the output to this command:

amixer -c udrc get "LO Driver Gain"

Thanks,
/Basil

Hi Julie,
Sorry I missed seeing you at SeaPac as well.

The console output you are showing is a symptom of the udrc/draws sound
card not being enumerated. This can happen for a number of reasons
including the draws sound card driver may not loading for some reason.

Could you please send me the console output of the following:

aplay -l
showudrc.sh

Thanks,
/Basil

Looks like you missed my follow up message from around noon today..have
rainloop working fine.
Yes I was off island yesterday (I live on an island with ferry service)
running around so no computer/ham time.

Also emailed you at your winlink address from rainloop when I got it
working.
Excellent! Saw the message & replied.

This DRAWS image is awesome.
Thanks. It is set up to do a moose load of stuff.

Final step is to get K-9 Mail configured on my Android devices.
I have notes on this some where. I'll look for them.

Also thinking I need to write a script to run via cron (a variation of
wlgw-check.sh) that will run wl2ktelnet if Internet is available and
otherwise will try wl2kax25 to each of a prioritized list of RMS gateways
(calling rigctl to setup the radio prior to each attempt).
Sounds good. Happy to hear you are mucking around with the scripts.

/Basil

Thanks for the update, this is great news! I'm glad well be getting the boards even if we need to wait on the case, I can't wait to start experimenting.

Yes they will.

The delay is, in part, working with the manufacturer to get the case "just right".  In the meantime the C4Labs case works nicely with the early adopter HATS, if you are looking to provide earlier packaging.

The sample was modified with hand tools, to create an install slot for the SMA connector - the final cases will have that slot as part of the machining at the factory.

DRAWS Shipping Update:

by k7udr

It was great to meet many of you at Hamvention and SeaPAC.

The latest DRAWS HATs will arrive shortly and we will fill all backorders next week.

A date for the cases has not been confirmed. If you ordered a kit, we will ship your board with cables and GPS Antenna next week and ship the cases when they come in; no additional shipping charge.

We will notify everyone via the blog and forum when we have firm dates for cases.

Turnkey units will have to wait for the cases of course.

If you would like to modify your order, use the form at the bottom of the Support page.

Make sure to follow the blog  to receive company updates.

Also, be sure you are subscribed to the forum for ongoing support.

If you need a ThumbDV, they are in stock now.

Hi Basil,

Thanks for the files.

I diff'd them with the installed files and only the 10-auth.conf had a needed change for auth_mechanisms:

The dovecot.conf file was only different in the postmaster_address:

pi@Compass:~/basil $ diff dovecot.conf /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf
105c105
< postmaster_address = pi@beta13test
---

I didn't update my current one since I'm assuming we want to stick with pi@... updating 10-auth.conf, I restarted the dovecot service, configured Claws and it came up fine.

Now just need to figure out rainloop config.

You have to restart dovecot after changing the config files.

Re: Shipping and case updates?

Fred Meier <fsmeier@...>

I saw that too.

I sure hope the actual ones will be a little nicer finished than the sample.

I saw a hand modified early adopter case at SeaPac this past weekend.  It looked good but I was told delivery would be "summer".
Complete units would also be "summer" as they have the other parts of the units in hand.  I guess it is just the hazards of sourcing
cases offshore in relatively small quantities.
