GPS very slow to pick up sats

I have another new identical antenna which I just put on and rebooted. Pulled satellites withing a few short minutes. Not sure if it was battery or 2nd antenna. Thank you for your help.

I checked the battery- was .275V and luckily I had new ones on hand. Booting up now- pic attached for hat version (I don't know how else to check the version) Thx

I do not have an "accessory port cable" so can't comment. Try to be more descriptive. What fldigi mode are you using? Are you using another radio to monitor? Most likely your ALSA settings are not opt

The parts arrived yesterday. When I assembled the case, I had two extra case screws — hopefully the other two were extras. The software setup was straightforward and well-documented which was awesome.

Once the GPS is up and running, look at the command cgps or gpsmon and see how many satellites and their strength. You may have a weak or defective antenna? Have you put the battery on the DRAWS™ boar

Basil, what does the hex code returned by pi_throt.sh mean? I have 5 pis running different tasks from radio control to home automation. All of them report 0x00. Their cpu temps range from 38 - 68 C. S

A friend of mine has had 2 Pi 3B+ go into thermal runaway. The thing we concluded was that the heat sinks were not installed properly or cheap heat sinks did not bond properly to the chips and running
