New UDRC II No DStarrepeater PTT
There is a setting buried in the repeater menus. I can't recall exactly where it is, it took us quite a while to uncover it, but it is there, and we now have a reasonable squelch tail on the analog si

Reflector 30C RX on ID-5100 from DR-1X Repeater with UDRC Controller
Curious. I have two 5100's and no audio issues with either. Now, I haven't messed with any audio settings on the UDRC; just straight out of the box whatever the defaults. DR-1X, UDRC (the old one, not

New UDRC install on DR-1X
It may be obvious, but be sure you have RPT1 and RPT2 set correctly in the radio. I'm surprised how many people miss this little detail. The fact that you can link using the Android app tells you that

GPIO pins on Raspberry Pi
Ahhhhh - got it I kind of suspected that PI2 and PI3 were doing nothing, but I couldn't be sure. And yes, I already discovered the wiringPi vs BCM vs pin number. Gotta love standards, especially when

GPIO pins on Raspberry Pi
I assume ircddbgatewayd doesn't need any so what would dstarrepeaterd use? Or really, not use. I would like to use a pin or two for some power control.

GPIO pins on Raspberry Pi
Are any of the GPIO pins available for other software? Looking at the schematic all seem to be connected to something, although I kind of wonder about the point of some of them. --McD

Of course I recognized that an 8GB SD card isn't really 8GB, but I sort of expected that all the manufacturers would use the same sleazy math to inflate their size. Not so. The reason this is importan

The beautiful thing about the Pi, assuming you have stayed with a sensible size SD card, you can simply duplicate the SD card, upgrade the dupe, and if it goes west just plug back in the original. Bec

ircddbgateway logs
Is there a way to reduce the amount of detail in the gateway logs? Seems like a lot of writing for an SD card, and a lot more detail than I need.

Case for RPi + UDRC
Here's some pictures of the MCM case with the UDRC installed. With a Pi 3 the light pipe is in the wrong place, but it works just fine http://kc8arj.blogspot.com/2016/09/udrc-in-mcm-case.html

Hotspot not repeater?
I have a DR1X with the UDRC and on the reflector dashboards it shows up as a hotspot rather than a repeater. What's up with that? Have I got some configuration wrong? Registration error?
