DummyRepeater and UDRC

Ian

Hello,

Hopefully this isn't another " senior moment " !!

DummyRepeater and ircDDBGateway are running on a PI2, I can connect to a reflector and see traffic; unfortunately there is no tx via my UDRC.

Here is part of the log:

M: 2017-02-15 20:48:33: DV3000 chip identified as: AMBE3000R
M: 2017-02-15 20:48:33: Opened hw:1,0 hw:1,0 Rate 48000
M: 2017-02-15 20:48:33: Starting ALSA reader thread
M: 2017-02-15 20:48:33: Starting ALSA writer thread
E: 2017-02-15 20:49:33: Error returned from sendto, err=22

In DummyRepeater set up the SoundCard option shows hw0:0 hw0:0 for my UDRC.

Error 22 is, I believe an ' Invalid argument '.

What have I done wrong ??

Ian,

I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to accomplish.  There is no direct connection between an AMBEserver/DummyRepeater and UDRC-II.

AMBEServer + DummyRepeater looks like a repeater/hotspot to the ircDDBGateway,  it can connect out to the D-STAR network to Callsign Routing, Reflectors and Gateways.

UDRC-II + dstarrepeater looks like a repeater/hotspot to the ircDDBGateway,  it can connect out to the D-STAR network to Callsign Routing, Reflectors and Gateways.

There is no direct AMBEServer + DummyRepeater + UDRC-II to over the air application.

You can route between DummyRepeater and DstarRepeater through ircDDBGateway, either by RPT2/RPT1 routing by connecting both two the same reflector.

The sendto error is possibly a bad IP address declaration in one of your configuration files.

Hello John,

I previously had my ThumbDV with a URI connected to an analogue radio on one PI and linked to irdDDBGateway on another PI; I am now hoping to use my UDRC-11 in place of the URI and run both DummyRepeater and ircDDBGateway on one Pi. At the moment my UDRC-11 does not tx when my ThumbDV does, eg: using the [ I] cmd in DummyRepeater shows the info on the screen but there is no tx via the UDRC-11. I'll look again at the IP address'.

Thanks,
Ian..
